This video is a four-in-one; this is a combination of my earlier videos as part of the tutorial series, not just for you but for me as well. These were an introduction to me as I began my journey as a content creator. I will be launching season two shortly, and I am really looking forward to sharing some new recipes.
In order to sweeten and intensify the flavors of a meal, mirepoix is a culinary base created from chopped vegetables that are cooked slowly (often with some kind of fat, such as butter or oil). Since the goal is to enhance rather than caramelize the flavor of the veggies, the mixture is cooked at a relatively low temperature.
The ingredients for French mirepoix include celery, onions, and carrots. The conventional proportion is 1:2:1. (one part celery, two parts onions, and one part carrots), and add a little garlic to kick it up. Numerous soups, stews, and sauces popular in Western cuisine are built around these three (four) flavors. Look for the soup video coming soon. Thank you for coming to my party, LYMI!
